YSR president Sharmila faces complaint for inappropriate remarks about KCR

In response to a complaint by the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) against YSR Telangana Party (YSRTP) president, Y.S Sharmila for making inappropriate remarks about the Chief Minister, ministers, and legislators, the Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly has referred the complaint to the Privileges Committee.

The complaint was submitted to the Speaker by Chief Whip D. Vinay Bhaskar, Ministers Niranjan Reddy and Srinivas Goud, and some MLAs. As a result, they demanded action against her for her remarks against the members.

The DGP had already received a complaint against Sharmila, according to Niranjan Reddy.

In Wanaparthy, police registered a case against Sharmila for making personal remarks about Niranjan Reddy and holding a public meeting without police permission.

Local TRS leaders made the complaint that led to the registration of the case.

As a result of TRS’ complaint to the Speaker, Sharmila called for the Speaker to take action against Niranjan Reddy for his remarks that were insulting to her and women like her.

Sharmila also sought action against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his son and cabinet minister K.T Rama Rao through a series of tweets. Before taking action against her, the Speaker should take action against Rama Rao who made inappropriate remarks about her hunger strike every Tuesday, she said.

In addition, Sharmila posted a video of the chief minister and urged the Speaker to take action against him for making objectionable comments.

Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s daughter Sharmila is currently on a padyatra across Telangana.

On Saturday, she reportedly completed 2,000 km of her intended 4,000 km Praja Prasthanam padayatra in Telangana. She said that her party will end up as the only alternative to TRS. People will decide her fate, not other political parties, she added.
