150 Mobile Fish Vans in Feb, Rs 10 Lakh Loan: Srinivas Yadav

HYDERABAD: Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav today said that 150 mobile fish vans will be started in the state to provide employment to the fisherman community.

He made an appeal that those with 18 years of this community can enroll their names with related Cooperative societies. The minister informed that the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has asked to ensure employment opportunities to the fisherman community.

Those with the registration of their names will get rights for fishing in lakes,  water bodies in their areas he said. Accordingly, we are taking steps to start as many as 150 mobile fish outlets in February first week.

Three such vans will be started in each district and also in the GHMC area, the minister said.

Srinivas Yadav said that Rs 10 lakh loan with Rs 6 lakh subsidy will be given to eligible fisherman.

The women with 3 to 5 persons a group will get a mobile fish van for fish sale.

We plan to conduct elections for the fisherman community societies in the state.

The fish cooperative societies can get elections and will get rights for fishing and the sale.

The loan amount of Rs 4 lakhs to be repaid easily by beneficiaries.
