2-way communication channel to be opened between Hyderabad traffic police and public

To help improve its relationship with citizens, the Hyderabad traffic police will begin two-way interactions by resolving complaints through social media, helplines, FM stations, and media outlets.

Higher officials from the Hyderabad traffic police department stated that they are considering opening up to the public, informing citizens about the status of complaints, and collecting feedback.

According to Hyderabad traffic police officials, the two-way interaction will take place via social media, helpline, Whatsapp, mobile phones SMS services, and emails. The department wishes to improve its public image and keep citizens informed of the actions taken in response to their complaints/suggestions.

The plan is to give a response to every suggestion/complaint/feedback received from citizens through various platforms so that everyone can have faith in the traffic police work, according to officials from the Hyderabad traffic police department.

The traffic police have also requested ideas from citizen forums, police officers, and other departments. A plan for Hyderabad will be finalized soon. Once decided, each complainant/adviser will be notified of the status of their complaint as well as the implementation of their suggestion.

Traffic cops to crack down on auto drivers, shop owners

Shop owners and autorickshaw drivers who cause traffic congestion in gridlocked and overcrowded markets will face large fines, according to city traffic cops.

The city police said they had identified the factors causing traffic problems after an eight-month survey on traffic congestion. According to sources, the drivers created unofficial parking lots in several locations, adding to the traffic congestion.

The police said they would fine autorickshaw drivers who encroach on roads or park three-wheelers illegally or haphazardly on congested roads between Rs 15,000 and Rs 20,000 each, seize their vehicles, and turn them over to the Road Transport Authority (RTA).
