4-Year-Old Boy Found Dead After 20-Hour Rescue Operation from Borewell in UP

Mahoba: On Thursday morning, the 4-year-old child who had fallen into a borewell in the Budhaura village was brought out dead.

The child had fallen into the borewell on Wednesday.

He was taken out from the borewell, following a 20-hour operation, however, the doctors at the spot declared him dead.

Doctors at the Mahoba district hospital stated that he might have been dead for at least 6 hours before his body was brought out from the borewell.

A huge rescue operation had been launched to save the boy from the open 30-foot borewell.

The fire department, local police department, and the administration had together carried out the operation which was joined by groups of the NDRF.

Reports stated that many excavators had been deployed to dig the region around the borewell and oxygen was being provided consistently to the boy through pipes.

They additionally lowered cameras into the borewell down to check for any indications of movement, or life. Any expectations of the child being recovered alive had been adding as the hours passed by. At the point when he was at last pulled out this morning, the boy gave no signs of life.

The boy, Dhanendra, alongside his elder sister Rekha was playing when he fell into the borewell, said District Magistrate Satyendra Kumar.

Kulpahad police headquarters in-charge Anup Dubey arrived at the location alongside a police force not long after coming to know about the incident.
