Hyderabad: Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy today said some 7.5 lakh metric tons urea was ready for Rabi and will get 15.4 lakh metric tons soon. He also said the Kaleshwaram project proves handy as several projects and water bodies are getting waters and pushing agriculture to a new high.
Inspecting urea sticks and rakes in Medak district, the minister asked the officials to ensure additional stocks of urea to cater to farmers’ needs. He said 7,612 dealers with cooperative societies will be supplying urea in all districts. There was no need for panic among the farmers for fertilizers, he added.
