9-Year-Old Boy Kidnapped for Ransom in Telangana Found to be Murdered

Hyderabad:  In a frightful episode, a nine-year-old kid who was abducted for a ransom of Rs.45 lakh five days prior in the Telangana Mahabubabad region was discovered to be murdered on Thursday, police announced.

The Murdered body of Kusuma Deekshith Reddy, 9, son of a local reporter, was discovered on the hillocks on the outskirts of Annaram in Ksamudram Mandal Telangana, around five km from Mahbubabad town.

Deekshith was abducted by an unidentified individual when he was playing outside his home in Mahabubabad town on Sunday (October 19) evening.

Koti Reddy, Mahabubabad Superintendent of Police said, however, the criminal killed the boy inside a few hours after the abduction, he acted like a psychopath to call the boy’s family daily to demand cash from them.

Manda Sagar, 23, who is a bike mechanic, living close to the place of Deekshith Reddy, has been taken into custody for kidnap and Murdered.

The police officer stated the charge abducted the boy to bring in easy money.

The SP stated, “Since the boy knew who he was, he accompanied the kidnapper. After taking the boy to a secluded place, he realized that controlling the boy single-handedly will be difficult. He strangulated the boy to death as he was worried that the boy may reveal the incident to his family.”

Even subsequent to murdering the boy, the accused called the boy’s mother Vasantha on her cell phone around 9 p.m. and demanded Rs.45 lakh. He furthermore warned her that if they educated the police about the kidnapping the boy would be killed.

The criminal called the family pretty much every day through the Internet. On Wednesday, he demanded them to arrange the cash and carry it to the Moodu Kotla area.

Despite the fact that the boy’s father Ranjit Reddy, a contributor for a vernacular news channel, went there with the cash in a bag, the criminal didn’t show up. He stood there till Wednesday night.

The special teams shaped by police after a complaint by the parents of the boy had laid a trap to apprehend the criminal.

The SP stated they had interrogated many suspects however investigations discovered that Manda Sagar acted alone.

He said details of how the police solved the case utilizing technology would be uncovered later.
