A complaint has been filed against a Youtube channel by BJP MLA Raja Singh

The state Director-General of Police received a complaint from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Raja Singh on Wednesday. Defamation attempts were allegedly made against him and his family by a YouTube channel, the MLA claims.

A Youtube channel called Sach News published a video purporting to show Singh’s son as an accused in a gambling case.

It is not my son who has been arrested. The channel intentionally used my name and photograph without verifying the details of the news, Singh complained.

His name and good image in public were being tarnished by people calling and trying to confirm the news. The channel must also take down the video within 48 hours and apologize unconditionally to Singh or he will file a defamation lawsuit.

As a result of card gambling, six people were arrested by Mangalhat police on Monday. Raja Singh’s close associate Yogesh Singh (38) is among the arrested.  A raid was conducted by the Commissioner’s Task Force (North) team and Mangalhat police in Ganga Bowli, Mangalhat police station limits, based on information received.

Currently, Yogesh Singh holds the position of an executive member of the Bhartiya Janata Party’s Golkonda Zilla (district). There are three assembly constituencies in Golkonda Zilla: Goshamahal, Karwan, and Charminar. Additionally, Yogesh Singh has been booked for several criminal cases in the city, including hate speech cases at the Cyber Crime police station, extortion cases at Bolaram, and threats against businessmen at Charminar.

In addition to Yogesh Singh, Surender Singh, Yogender, Laddu, Suresh, and Nandu Singh were also found there. These individuals were apprehended by the police with Rs. 21,000 in cash, playing cards, and mobile phones.

Recently Hyderabad Police registered a case against Telangana BJP MLA Raja Singh for allegedly hurting the religious beliefs of a particular community through his defamatory remarks.
