Ahead of PM’s visit to Telangana, ‘Modi No Entry’ flex appears in Jubilee Hills

Before the Prime Minister’s visit to Telangana, a flex with ‘Modi No Entry’ appeared in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills area.

It was reported that the flex was put up by Telangana Chenetha Youth Force, which read, ‘rollback 5% GST on handloom products

A large number of handloom weavers from Telangana sent postcards to PM Modi demanding that GST be rolled back on handlooms.

Telangana handlooms and textiles minister KT Rama Rao has also launched an online petition urging the union government to remove GST from handloom products in order to protect weavers’ livelihoods and India’s cultural heritage.

PM Modi’s visit to Telangana

PM Modi is scheduled to visit the RFCL plant in Ramagundam, Telangana, on November 14.

As TRS has criticized PMO for not sending an official invitation, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is expected to skip both the airport reception and the event.

This is not the first time KCR will not receive PM Modi; he avoided him on three occasions earlier as well.

The TRS leaders stated that it is disrespectful on part of the PMO by not sending an official invitation to the Chief Minister, despite the fact that Telangana owns an 11% share of the plant.

Union minister Bhagavathi Khuba observed the arrangements being made for Prime Minister Modi’s upcoming public meeting at Ramagundam along with state BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar.

The union minister was also accompanied by state party leaders G Vivek, D. Pradeep Kumar, SC Morcha S Kumar, and former MLA Somarapu Satyanarayana.

It is also worth mentioning that this is not the first time such flexis have appeared in the city. Earlier too, a poster targeting BJP and PM Modi appeared in Hyderabad. In July, posters appeared in LB Nagar targeting the saffron party and PM Modi during the BJP national executive meeting in Hyderabad.
