Alleged Harassment by Financiers in Hyderabad’s Old City Raises Concerns and Calls for Police Intervention

The surge in the operations of financiers in Hyderabad’s old city region has caused alarm, with suspicions of police complicity with these persons. A man named Fayyaz recently attempted suicide in the Mughalpura area after being harassed by bankers. Fayyaz was sent to the hospital for treatment.

Tarannum Khanum, his wife, arrived at Osmania Hospital and delivered an impassioned statement to the media, begging with the Police Commissioner to save her husband from the grasp of the financiers. She reported that her husband had been harassed and threatened by a financier who claimed to have clout with the police and the capacity to avoid punishment for any crime committed.

Fayyaz had obtained a loan from a person named Basith for a coworker, who is now pushing him for payback despite Fayyaz’s assurances to pay in installments. Other people named Moin, Chacha, Qadeer, Khalid, and others are reported to be involved in the harassing.

Tarannum Khanum requested that the Police Commissioner intervene and safeguard the safety of her husband. The Mughalpura police have launched an inquiry into the incident, and more action is expected to be taken to solve the problem and bring justice to those involved. The circumstance highlights the importance of addressing the actions of financiers in the old city and protecting the public from them.
