Ambedkar birth anniversary celebrations held

The 130th birth anniversary celebrations of BR Ambedkar were held in the state today. State ministers KTR Etela Rajender and others paid floral tribute at the statue of Ambedkar in the tank bund.

Speaking on the occasion KTR said that none could forget the hard work of Ambedkar to bring all the oppressed classes of classes into the mainstream society. He said that they would keep their promise of installing a 125 feet long statue of Ambedkar in the city.

He said that Ambedkar had always advocated for equal rights to all people of the country. He said that the chief minister of the state KCR had achieved Telangana by following in the path of Ambedkar. He said that they were continuing the ideals of Ambedkar by establishing residential educational institutions.

Health minister Etela said that Ambedkar had fought for the rights of the oppressed classes and added that his objective was to achieve a caste and religions less society. He said that it was unfortunate that protest programs were still being held seeking reservations to the oppressed classes.
