Angry Twitter user abuses Owaisi for not wishing PM Modi on birthday,

On Sunday, a Twitter user called AIMIM chief and Hyderabad Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi a “kutte” (dog) for failing to wish Prime Minister Narendra Modi a happy birthday. He also referred to Owaisi’s secularism as ‘Natak’ (fake).

“prime minister ko wish nahi kiya kutte owaisi tu kitna ghatiya adami hai ab samaj raha hai. Muze sach mai secular hai laga thu, but tu natak kar raha hai,” tweeted @Vishalp17897377.

Asaduddin Owaisi responded to the tweet by saying, sarcastically, that he doesn’t need his approval. “Oh no. What will I ever do without Vishalp17897377’s approval,” he wrote.

Vishal may think peacocks mate with tears but we just wanted to help a few vulnerable birds, Owaisi added.

Later, the user deleted his account.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 72, with greetings from world leaders and other prominent figures pouring in, and admirers hailing his contribution to building a “strong and self-reliant” India.

Scores of welfare activities were undertaken by the ruling BJP and others in various parts of the country to mark the prime minister’s birthday, including a 15-day blood donation drive in the country, cleanliness and tree plantation campaigns, and health camps, as in previous years since 2014.

Prime Minister Modi had a busy day, speaking at several events and releasing cheetahs brought from Namibia at the Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh as part of a landmark project seven decades after the animal was declared extinct in the country.

Opposition leaders wished him well, including Rahul Gandhi from Congress, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, NCP leader Sharad Pawar, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, and Telangana Chief Minister and TRS leader K Chandrashekar Rao.
