Srikakulam: The Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker  Tammineni Seetharam today slammed at the state election commission (SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar for going ahead with his decision of holding the Panchayat elections in the state.

He also asked the commissioner as to why he was going ahead with the decision of holding the elections amid the presence of a medical emergency.

He warned that the second wave of Covid-19 wave would wreak havoc on the people of the State and added that the migrant laborers of the state would likely bring the second wave of the Covid-19 virus.

He asked as to who would be held responsible if anybody died due to the deadly virus. Citing that the NGO Association members have already boycotted the elections, he asked the commissioner as to who would hold the elections.
