The eighth session of the Telangana Assembly and Legislative Council would commence on September 24 for Monsoon Session. The session is to be held for about seven to ten days according to the information.
Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today instructed the officials concerned to coordinate for the smooth conduct of the session. The Speaker discussed the session with the Pro-tem Chairman of the Council Bhupal Reddy, Assembly Affairs Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, Chief whip Vinay Bhaskar and top officials.
DGP Mahender Reddy, CP Anjani Kumar and other officials attended the meeting.
The Speaker said that the Monsoon Session is to be held for about 10 days. He instructed the officials concerned to give replies to the queries of the members and early information.

Give transparent information at the earliest and ensure smooth functioning of the session, he said. The speaker said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh have appreciated our State for a speedy recovery from the Corona pandemic effects. Our State economy suffered a loss and recovered speedily with officials’ hard work and coordination, the speaker said.
The Speaker appreciated the officials for Corona vaccination and coordination for the financial development of the state. The police have to provide complete security and bandobust in and around the Assembly premises.
The media persons with valid passes are allowed without any inconvenience, the speaker said. The speaker instructed the Assembly secretary Dr. V Narsimha Charyulu to ensure the media persons get passes or allow them with the extension of date for the session.
Tomorrow the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) will hold a special meeting to take a decision on the number of days of the session to be conducted.

The BAC will be attended by the members from the Opposition Parties and the Assembly Affairs Minister, the speaker, and other officials. The assembly session is most likely to be conducted for about 10 days.
