Traffic violation videos to be embedded in e-challans

Hyderabad will be the country’s first city to embed videos in traffic e-challans. According to Hyderabad Joint Traffic Commissioner A V Ranganath, traffic cops are currently being trained to take short videos of traffic violators. Challans are one of the most effective ways to keep traffic defaulters and violators in check. As a result, they are improving the way challans are recorded, he added.

He stated that videos lasting 10 to 15 seconds will be embedded with e-challans. They will be required to increase the bandwidth of the website, and they are currently working on it. In a month, the video inclusion in e-challans will begin, he said.

A challan is an official document issued to motor vehicle drivers for breaking traffic laws. When a traffic challan is issued, it means that a person is responsible for paying the penalty based on the type of offense committed, according to the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988.
