Aurangabad violence were pre-planned: MIM MLA Imtiyaz Jaleel

Maharashtra MIM MLA Imtiyaz Jaleel said that violence broke out in Aurangabad on Friday were pre-planned as some people wanted to disturb communal harmony in the city.

He urged that Govt and Police shout act now and catch the culprits.

In this violence two people died and more than 40 people were injured, including police personnel, when the clashes broke out in multiple areas of the city two days ago following the removal of a water connection to a place of worship in Moti Karanja area.

About 50 shops were gutted in the clashes, and hundreds of youths took to the streets to pelt stones when the issue took a communal colour.

The district administration has clamped prohibitory orders under section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure banning assembly of people and suspended Internet services.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the situation in Aurangabad was under control, and stringent action would be taken against those responsible for the violence.
