It was discovered that a 36-year-old auto trolley driver had stolen a portable toilet. A resident of Domalguda and native of Medak, M Jogaiah, was arrested by Malkajgiri police on Monday, March 21st.

It was reported that Jogaiah’s two accomplices, Arun Kumar, a GHMC employee at Buddha Bhavan, and Bikshapathi of Jain Construction at Anandbagh in Malkajgiri, are currently on the run.

Police say Jogaiah sold the public toilet in Musheerabad to a scrap merchant for Rs 45,000.

“He used the money for personal expenses. Following a complaint from the deputy commissioner of GHMC last week, a case was booked and Jogaiah was identified and arrested using surveillance cameras. The cash and trolley have been seized,” said a police official.

According to Malkajgiri Circle Deputy Commissioner Godala Raju, the prefab toilet was found missing from 140 division in the circle near Safilguda on Wednesday. In addition to theft, the trio was booked under the provisions of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act. However, two other accused still remain at large.
