Hyderabad: One person was killed and four others injured when an auto trolley ran amuck and ploughed into a procession taken out by a community at Warasiguda in Chilkalguda here late on Thursday night.
According to police, the mishap occurred around 10.45 pm when the procession reached Warasiguda crossroads. A teenager, who entered the driver’s cabin during the procession, was suspected to have accidentally stepped on the accelerator of the trolley.
The driver lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle ran into the public, killing one Komariah, 50, on the spot and injuring four others.
The incident was captured by a surveillance camera at a nearby shop. The Chilkalguda police are investigating. (NSS)
