Azadi Ka Amruth 3Km Runs on Grand Note: CS

To mark Azadi Ki Amruth Mahotsav of 75 years of Indian Independence a 3 Km Run was conducted in the city here. Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, DGP Mahender Reddy started the run at Peoples Plaza on Necklace Road with 3000 participants.

 

The state government is conducting this event in the state on a grand note, the chief secretary said while flagging off the historic run. The run reached LB Stadium via Lumbini Park, BRKR Bhavan, Lakdi Ka pul and Control Room.

Somesh Kumar on the occasion said that India achieved independence after a struggle. We got this freedom through sacrifices of great leaders, he said. We need to transform this to the future generations, he said.

Mahender Reddy said that the country has many intellectuals, youth who dreamt of great achievements and are moving ahead. Mahender Reddy said that everyone has to participate in the grand event. Everyone has a responsibility to apprise the great history of freedom and sacrifices of the top leaders of the country and unity in diversity to the generations to come.

Those who participated include senior IAS, IPS, IFS, senior officials, staff, employees, sports associations, sports persons, students and youth.
