Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjan today prohibited bursting of firecrackers on public roads and at public places during Deepavali festival celebrations.
In a notification, Commissioner V.C. Sajjan stated that in accordance with the recent directions issued by the Supreme Court, there shall be a complete ban on bursting sound Emitting Firecrackers on the public roads and public places in the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits except between 8 pm and 10 pm. The noise level from crackers, drums, and other instructions, if any between 8 pm to 10 pm should not exceed the permissible limits as notified by the pollution Control Board, he added.
The ban order will be in force from 6 am on October 26 to 6 am on October 29. He cautioned the public that any person violating the order will be prosecuted under the Hyderabad City Police Act and other relevant laws in force.
