Karimnagar: The Karimnagar town on Friday witnessed some violent scenes following a bandh call given by the joint action committee of political parties and RTC workers.
The residence of RTC driver Babu, who died of cardiac arrest, turned into a hotbed of the entire action. The local MP from BJP, Bandi Sanjay Kumar and joint action committee leaders took out a huge rally from the residence of the victim up to Karimnagar-2 depot of the corporation. They raised slogans against the state government and demanded it to solve all their demands. It may be noted here that the joint action committee leaders including the local MP and MRPS leader Manda Krishna Madiga and others had been staging a protest program with the dead body at Babu‘s residence ever since he was brought to Karimnagar. Babu died at the public meeting held by the joint action committee following a Cardiac arrest in Hyderabad.
The local police have made elaborate arrangements to avoid any untoward and violent incidents during the agitation program. The joint action committee leaders have also called for a Karimnagar town Bandh to achieve their demands.
