BC Welfare Minister lays foundation for integrated command control center

At Telangana chowk here on Wednesday, BC Welfare Minister Gangula Kamalakar laid the foundation stone for an Integrated Command Control Center. In accordance with the Karimnagar City Renovation Programme, the Centre will cost Rs 94.99 crore.

As part of the project, Kamalakar announced that 335 HD cameras, 85 automatic traffic control systems, 85 red light violation cameras, 174 automatic number plate recognition cameras, 85 vehicle detection cameras, 10 environmental sensors, and 150 Wi-Fi hotspots would be installed across the town.

Traffic signalling would depend on traffic flow. Vehicle detection and red light violation cameras will detect a vehicle’s number plate if it jumps the traffic signal and sends it to the RTA office.

A total of ten environmental sensors will be installed in the town for the first time in the country, he reported, adding that the sensors will continuously update the pollution and moisture levels of the town. According to him, free Wi-Fi facilities will be provided in 15 locations in the town at first.
