Bhatti slams KCR for ignoring HC suggestion to form judges panel to solve RTC crew strike

Hyderabad: CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Tuesday alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was behaving like a dictator. He also lashed out at the Chief Minister for not reacting to the suggestions of the High Court to constitute a three-member committee comprising retired judges of the Supreme Court to solve the ongoing strike of  the RTC workers.

Alleging that KCR was disregarding the institutions and government employees, Bhatti said the former turned “arrogant” after returning to power in the Assembly elections. He said there was no democracy in the State and Chief Minister KCR was behaving like a tyrant. Demanding that the Chief Minister hold talks with the striking RTC workers immediately and solve their problems, Bhatti warned that there will be a constitutional crisis if the CM remained tough towards the poor RTC crew.

Addressing mediapersons along with party MLA and former minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu,  Vikramarka said  his party would lodge a complaint with the Governor and also President if KCR did not respond on the issue of the RTC workers. He said intervention of the Governor or the President would have great impact on the State government and force it to hold discussions with the RTC unions.

Referring to the affidavit filed by the State government before the High Court leveling baseless allegations against the Opposition parties that they caused RTC crew strike with an intention to destabilize the State government, he demanded that the State government make public any evidence related to its allegations. He also made it clear that the State government was vested with powers to order a CBI inquiry if it had any doubt about the allegations leveled by its officials against the Opposition parties.

MLA Sridhar Babu alleged that the Chief Minister was trying to blame the Opposition parties to hide his failures on the strike issue. He asked the State government as to why it was not paying two-month salaries to the RTC workers. He demanded that the State government immediately pay their salaries to the workers as their families were in deep crisis.
