BJP leaders in Hyderabad face penalties for raising unauthorized banners

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers were fined by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) for raising unauthorized banners and advertisements throughout the city.

Many of the city’s streets were covered with huge banners and posters featuring the faces of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. After citizens took pictures and reported them to GHMC’s Enforcement Vigilance and Disaster Management (EVDM) via Twitter, penalties were imposed.

Approximately 18 challans had been generated by Wednesday evening, and a fine of around Rs 1 lakh had been levied.

As a result of the EVDM department’s decision last year, the city will be free of distractions, visually appealing, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.

In accordance with norms, flex banners and stickers pasted on public property are illegal. It is also illegal to put up hoardings or any other advertising elements without the corporation’s approval.

National Executive Meeting

A national executive meeting of the BJP will take place at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on July 2 and 3. The meeting will be attended by a number of senior BJP leaders.

The national-executive meeting is also expected to attract several chief ministers from BJP-ruled states.

During his last visit to the city, the Prime Minister attended the 20th annual day celebrations and graduation ceremony of the Indian School of Business (ISB).

Police in Cyberabad has also issued orders prohibiting the use of drones and other aerial devices within five kilometers of the HICC, where BJP’s national executive meetings will be held.

In the order, Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Raveendra prohibited the operation of remotely controlled drones, paragliders, and microlight aircraft within a 5 km radius of the HICC from June 30 to July 4, 2022.

According to the advisory, event organizers are increasingly using remote-controlled drones to capture aerial views for live telecasts and photography of various events.
