Blazed with ADP sponsored cricket kits, Blind Cricket Team braced for T20 Tour

With an altruistic spirit, the Automatic Data Processing (ADP) Company – a Human Resources Management Software& Services provider, has come forward to support the Telangana Blind Cricket Team with cricket kits to help them brace up for the upcoming national T20 Cricket Tournament in Haryana and Delhi.

ADP, that based in Hyderabad and Pune, has sponsored the Telangana State level Tournament, in October that saw 14 emerging cricketers whose performance get them selected for the state’s squad of Telangana Blind Cricket Team that would participate in Nagesh Trophy, a National T20 Cricket Tournament for the Blind 2021-2022 to be held in Haryana and Delhi next week.

Telangana Blind Cricket Team enjoys the support of I&EYE – an NGO that provides quality education and health, including rectification of vision for visually impaired children.

To ratchet up vigour among the emerging divyang cricketers, the ADB Company has blazed them with the cricket kits that include bats, gloves, wicket keeping gloves and shoes to all the players under corporate social responsibility (CSR) program dubbed as ‘Tarang.’

On this occasion, the General Manager and Managing Director, ADP Pvt. Ltd. Vijay Vemulapalli said, “I was pleased to virtually interact with the whole team and understand the nuances of cricket among the blind players with a blend of abilities. Also thrilled to know that most of them have graduated and some of them are going to complete their graduation next year that displays their commitment to excel in all forms of life. Their joy upon receiving the ADP sponsored kits was worth a billion smiles.”

Many of the emerging youngsters, supported by  I&EYE and ADP went onto become successful Chartered Accountants, IT employees and sportspersons. In fact, the captain of the current Telangana State team, G. Madhu, who was sponsored by ADP to represent India in World Cup 2014, proved to be an important player for India’s triumph in the world league.

“I think the Telangana team is full of standoff performers explicitly cut for the campaigns and have an ability to emerge as a great example regardless of any challenge coming their way,” asserted Dr. Vipul Singh, Divisional Vice-President and Head, HR, ADP India.

Madhu and his team are slotted in group C to play against Rajasthan, Goa, Jammu & Kashmir, Manipur, and Chandigarh.
