BRS all set to make major strides in Maharashtra: CM KCR

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is all set to make major strides in Maharashtra, causing a political storm in the neighboring state, said Party President and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Tuesday.

He stated that the party’s presence in Maharashtra was becoming increasingly visible and felt, and that the overwhelming response from the grassroots and signs of BRS emerging as a formidable force had become a source of great concern for other political parties.

The Chief Minister said many sitting MLAs from the State were already in touch with him as he welcomed a host of senior leaders from Maharashtra who joined the BRS at Telangana Bhavan on Tuesday. They were determined about joining the party.

Interacting with the leaders about the strategies to be used to strengthen the party’s position ahead of the upcoming local body elections, he stated that the party’s organizational structure would take shape on mission mode.

From May 10 to June 10, he urged party workers to spread the slogan ‘Ab ki Baar Kisan Sarkar’ to every nook and cranny of Maharashtra. As part of a special drive, a party membership drive was underway. The appointment of district level coordinators would take two to three days. In six divisions, the appointment of assembly constituency level in-charges has already been completed. The remaining 288 assembly constituencies’ appointments would be completed soon.
