BRS will not tie up with any political party in Maharashtra: CM KCR

Bharat Rashtra Samithi president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao said on Monday that the party would not tie up with other political parties in Maharashtra and that the party was working to strengthen its organizational network in all 288 Assembly constituencies.

Interacting with a group of Maharashtra political leaders who paid him a visit at Telangana Bhavan on Monday, the Chief Minister said the state of Maharashtra, which was once known for its political consciousness, was no longer the same.

Regretting the deterioration of the administration in the neighboring State, he stated that the BRS would not collaborate with any political parties in Maharashtra.

The state, which was the birthplace of figures such as BR Ambedkar and Anna Hazare, had been a major source of influence for the country.

“Because of such luminaries, people used to talk highly of the State in my initial days as a legislator and I too learned a great deal from it. But things are the other way round of late. Today a situation has come wherein I‘m guiding them towards the right direction,” he said.

The Chief Minister also discussed the Maharashtra delegation’s plan of action for strengthening the party’s organizational network in the State’s 288 assembly constituencies. In the first phase, the party plans to establish offices in four major cities: Mumbai, Nagpur, Aurangabad, and Pune Mumbai, Nagpur, Aurangabad and Pune in the first phase, with the process already in progress.

The people of Maharashtra, having realized that their current misery was caused by the political parties that had previously ruled the state, had begun to look forward to the BRS. The BRS winds are blowing across Maharashtra, he said, emphasizing the importance of the Telangana model’s implementation in Maharashtra.

From May 5 to June 5, the Chief Minister said, party activities would be held in all 288 assembly constituencies. In addition to nine committees such as Farmer, Student, Youth, Women, SC, ST, and OBC, village level party committees would be formed.

These committees will campaign on the Telangana model, explaining all of the state’s flagship programs and covering at least five villages a day. Party campaign material is being prepared, along with songs in Marathi, he added.
