Business Advisory Committee for House Till Oct 5, KCR for New Rules in Assembly

Business Advisory Committee chaired by Speaker P Srinivas Reddy today decided to conduct the Monsoon session of Assembly and Council for eight days till October 5, according to information.

The Assembly session will be held till October 5 as decided by the BAC chairman and the speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy. With two day break on September 25 and 26, the house will resume on September 27. The House will continue till October 5 as decided and October 2 being Gandhi Jayanthi and October 3 being Sunday holidays, according to information.

Leader of the house and Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao who attended the BAC meeting said that a Club will be built for the MLAs in the city. The MLAs Club will be built on the lines of one Constitution Club in Delhi and we need to maintain all protocols for MLAs in that, KCR informed. Ministers and leaders from other political parties attended the meeting held in the Assembly.

The house was adjourned to Monday as the BAC decided to conduct the house for seven days. The BAC discussed on the need for debate on the issues and bills to be tabled in the house during the session.

The leader of the house K Chandrasekhar Rao has said that they are ready to conduct debate on key issues. The opposition parties have fewer members we give them more time to discuss key issues, KCR said. The TRS members proposed to debate on IT, Industry, and Haritha Haram and said that opposition parties will be informed on the bills to be discussed. The opposition parties will get time to talk in question hour and zero hour.

KCR asked for better rules and norms in the Assembly to become a role model for the country. Telangana Assembly is now a role model for India and should discuss meaningful issues to reach the people with welfare schemes, the leader of the house said.

The house will be conducted for seven days with some holidays including Oct 2 being Gandhi Jayanthi and 5 being the last day.

Vikramarka asked the BAC to conduct the house for 20 days and submitted a list of 12 issues for the debate. However, the speaker said that he is to get similar appeals from other parties to discuss.

The Speaker said that the house will be conducted till Oct 5 and decide, if necessary, to continue the house for more days.

The meeting was attended by Assembly affairs minister Prashanth Reddy, Finance Minister Harish Rao, Koppula Eshwar, and CLP Leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, AIMIM member Akbaruddin Owaisi and secretary Dr. V Narsimha Charyulu and other officials. The BJP members alleged that they were not invited to the BAC meeting.
