Hyderabad: Even as the grand alliance partners are trying to give final touch to their ongoing discussions over the seat-sharing arrangements, AICC Secretary and senior Congress leader from the state Madhu Yaski Goud on Monday said that they were planning to release the list of all contesting candidates, including those of grand alliance partners jointly. He said they had already received a list of the seats sought by the alliance partners like TDP, TJS and CPI and added that the joint announcement of the list would take place very soon.
“We have zeroed in on two dates to declare the grand alliance candidates. We may either declare the list on Diwali, the festival of lights. If it is not possible on Diwali, we will declare the list later,” he said. Yaski made it clear that they did not declare the name of even a single candidate so far in the state while attributing the delay to the objective of the party to ensure social balance in the list of candidates. Our objective is very clear. We want give ticket all sections of society and ensure social balance among all the communities of the state.
We have conveyed the same to our grand alliance partners and urged them to see that due representation was given to all the communities of the state in the list of candidates prepared by them,” he said. Yaski also said the rival TRS party was scared of the grand alliance partners while challenging the TRS leaders to come for an open debate on their achievements made during the last four-and-a-half years.
