Case booked against IT firm in Hyderabad for cheating 800 employees

After nearly 800 highly skilled IT employees were left unemployed by the Innohub Technologies company that shut shop and cheated them to the tune of Rs 20 Crores, Hyderabad city’s IT hub has been hit with a shocking case of fraud.

At the Madhapur Police Station, the employees filed a case on Monday accusing the company management of cheating.

Each employee was told that the employers collected Rupees 2 lakh from them by offering them monthly salaries for two months. But they had no idea that their employers were planning to vanish in the night. The total revenue collected from them was about Rs. 20 crore and they received two months’ training and salaries.

On the other hand, Innohub Technologies recently blocked the company’s website and e-mail. Socked employees of the company tried to meet the management but were surprised to see that the board had been removed.

The software company employees filed a complaint at the Madhapur police station after realizing that they had been cheated.

Even though one week had passed, the police had not taken up the case, according to the employees. After the fraud was uncovered, the aggrieved employees protested in front of the police station.

With loan apps, fraudsters are back in business

Fraudsters are back at it again with a new name after a break. There is a renaissance of instant loan apps that target mainly the low-income group and lend small amounts. Even though the Google Play Store removed approximately 220 apps following requests from law enforcement, the business continues to thrive and harassment continues.

The borrowers are more concerned about harassment from the recovery agents rather than the interest rate, which pushes them to a point when they are forced to end their lives to escape the social stigma.
