CBI has inspected the AP Former Minister house

Amaravati: CBI has continued the probe of former Andhra Pradesh Minister Vivekananda Reddy murder case as per the High Court orders.

CBI officials inspected former Minister house in Pulivendula of Kadapa Dist of AP as part of the investigation. Later the officials visited the DSP’s office in Pulivendula and find out the details.

Vivekananda Reddy who was the brother of Former United Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajshekhar Reddy was brutally murdered on 15 March last year at his home in Pulivendala.

The investigative agency has stepped in the investigation after 4 months of the ruling of AP High Court which has entrusted the responsibility of investigation of the case to the CBI. The state government has set up three special investigation teams (SITs) to probe the case. So far, 1,300 suspects have been questioned by SIT officials.

Narco-analysis tests were performed on three suspects. Three people have been arrested on charges of tampering with evidence at the murder scene. However, so far the investigation officers have not able to identify the main culprits in this case.

Vivekananda daughter Sunita has approached the high court seeking a CBI probe in this case. The court on March 11 handed over the case to the CBI.
