Hyderabad: Union team of officials today appreciated the youngest state of Telangana for setting a history of completing 13 crores of working days under the employment guarantee scheme of the Centre.
The team has called on Panchayati Raj minister E Dayakar Rao and appreciated the works being done under several schemes. The minister apprised them of the works being taken up under several local schemes to offer daily work and wages. The plan of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was to offer daily wages through work regularly.
Telangana under KCR leadership is determined to develop the state and provide welfare of the poor, the minister said. The center will take a call on giving the same to other states which plan to replicate the Telangana example the team stated.
Another 8 states in the country are to follow suit and offer the work to the daily wagers, the team comprising Rohit Kumar, Amarinder Prakash Singh, and Kiran Kumar. The team toured several villages in Ranga Reddy and other places in the state and took stock of the employment works being offered to the working class.
The state government is ideal in completing these works under a central scheme of providing employment to the working people in the state. Soon the figure may cross the 18 crore mark of giving employment the team said. They appreciated further that the state government for achieving the rare history and can be emulated by other states.
The works are given under schemes including — Palle Pragathi, Pattana Pragathi, nurseries, Vaikunta Dhammas, Dumping yards, Greenery, Haritha Haram, and others. The team has said that giving timely wages to the working class will help them.
