Hyderabad: The Centre today canceled Indian citizenship of TRS MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh for allegedly producing wrong documents and overstaying in the country.
The Union Home Ministry, in its orders, refrained Ramesh from holding any powers as MLA and also India’s citizenship for violating norms. The Centre reportedly said Ramesh failed to restore his US visa. It also asked him to obtain a fresh visa to stay in India.
On BJP Telangana leaders’ complaints, the courts heard the case and opined that the Union Home Ministry alone could resolve the case. (NSS)
