Centre Repeal Farm Laws After KCR Maha Dharna : Niranjan Reddy

Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy today welcomed the decision of the Centre repealing three deacon farm laws.

He attributed the decision by Modi Government in the centre to repeal the farm laws to the Maha Dharna held by the TRS Supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan here with minister Jagadish Reddy, MLAs Balka Suman and Srinivas Reddy, the Minister appreciated the prolonged battle by the farmers against the BJP government in the country.

It is a significant development and we attribute it to the stance by the KCR Government and Maha Dharna, they claimed.

The Agriculture Minister claimed that the farmers showed their strong fight and robust unity against the three farm laws of the centre. Finally, the farmers won the battle as the Modi government announced the withdrawal of the farm laws and credit goes to our party boss, he claimed.

 Indeed it is a great victory never seen before in the country the Minister said.

Niranjan Reddy said that with KCR Government announcement to extend support to north farmers in protests in the national capital region to fight against the Centre came as a surprise.

 The Minister demanded that the Centre should address the issues of farmers in Telangana and other states. The centre has to stop the spoilsport of dumping the farmers in the state. The fight by the KCR Government will continue against double standards of the centre, he said.

Jagadish Reddy welcomed the decision by the centre as it gives a reprieve. It gives pleasure to farmers and the TRS leaders and the chief minister already extended support to them he said.

He appreciated the farmers in national-level protests for their determination and perseverance. They demanded the Centre to address the paddy issues from our state.

The Ministers asked the local BJP leaders should put efforts in this regard. The Modi government which repealed Rs 6 lakh crit loans of the corporate sector has to take steps for strengthening the farm sector. It should give funds and resources to boost the farm sector they said. The ministers said that grain sticks will have come down if the centre gave 10 kg of rice instead of 6 kg to the poor people during the Corona crisis.

Prime Minister should come up with a policy at the national level to protect farmers interests, address related issues of MSP, marketing, export and ease of laws they said. The Ministers further sought more facilities and measures by the centre enabling the states to have their say in farm produce, production subsidy and support.

They welcomed the decision by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who announced that the three farm laws are being cancelled.

They said that the government of Narendra Modi informed the nation that a decision was taken to repeal the three farm laws.

The Ministers hoped that the centre will address the issues of the farmers and people with productive policies enabling states to go on the growth path.

Repeal of the farm laws is the victory of KCR and our mags dharna they claimed.
The Ministers also sought a national level debate on farm stabilization.

Ministers Dayakar Rao, Satyavathi Rathod, Rythu Bandhu Samithi chief Palla Rajeshwar Reddy also hailed repeal of farm laws. They attributed the same to the KCR revolt and Maha Dharna by the TRS leadership.
