In a significant development, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has assures to provide housing to journalists in Hyderabad. The assurance came following a petition presented by the Deccan Journalists’ Housing Society (DJHS) President B.Ravi, Treasurer Chalukuri Ayappa, Directors Danda Ramakrishna, Members Kranti, and others at the Secretariat.
During the meeting, CM Revanth Reddy assured the representatives of DJHS that houses would indeed be allocated to journalists. He directed them to further discuss the matter with Information Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy to finalize the allocation process.
DJHS President Ravi expressed gratitude for the Chief Minister’s responsiveness to their long-standing demand. He recalled how the issue of housing for journalists had been persistently raised over the past decade since the formation of the separate state of Telangana.
