Telangana Forest and Environment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy today expressed shock at the death of noted environmentalist Sunderlal Bahuguna.
On knowing of the death the minister expressed concern and grief at his demise of Bahuguna a green warrior.
Reddy said that Bahuguna was a great personality who sacrificed his life for greenery and forest protection. Through the Chipco movement Bahuguna became popular as he tried his best to protect forests and for environmental protection, the minister said.

His demise causes a big loss to the nation the minister said. The forest minister said that the government of Telangana is following Bahuguna’s ideals to protect forests and the environment.
The KCR government is expanding greenery through Haritha Haram drives, Indrakaran Reddy said.
He conveyed sympathies to bereaved family members.
