Forest and Environment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy today said that the department was taking all precautionary measures in the wake of rising Corona cases again.

Minister has suggested that all personnel working in the forest on par with frontline warriors should be vaccinated. He said that field-level personnel is on duty in the forest to control fire prevention, hunting, and smuggling activities. The State government has also identified forest department personnel as frontline warriors. The government has informed the district medical officers asking them to give Covid vaccine as a priority.
The minister asked the forest officials of all the districts to take steps to vaccinate the field-level personnel as well as the watchers on duty at various Forest base camps. Authorities are also taking precautionary measures at the Aranya Bhavan, the headquarters of the forest department.

If the forest department staff is healthy, it will help protect the forest resources as well as the wildlife Shobha Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF) said.
