CII welcomes new ranking of Ease of Doing Business

Hyderabad: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) welcomed the new ranking of the Ease of Doing Business in States released today.

“We, in CII, would like to congratulate the Government of Telangana, especially Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Minister for Industries & Commerce K T Rama Rao for implementing reforms that have enabled the State to be one of the top States in Ease of Doing Business in the Country. It is unfortunate that we have missed the top position by 0.09% , but the work undertaken by the State government in maintaining it as one of the top destinations for Ease of doing Business in the Country is truly commendable”, said Sanjay Singh, Chairman, CII Telangana and Divisional Chief Executive, ITC Ltd-PSPD.

“The amount of investments that has been received by the state over the past three years shows the commitment of the Government towards Ease of Doing Business in the State and getting 100% results in Reform Evidence. We are extremely happy with the results and extend the full support of the industry to the Government in reclaiming the No 1 Position in the rankings next year,” said D Raju, Vice-Chairman, CII Telangana and Managing Director & CEO, Kirby Building Systems India Pvt Ltd.

V V Parsuram, Convenor, CII Telangana Ease of Doing Business Panel and Global Head-R&D, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd while congratulating the Telangana Government on achieving one of the top positions in Ease of Doing Business Survey said “The efforts taken by the Government in promoting business activity has helped in creating a congenial environment for business and is attracting Capital and Talent to this States. The single window clearance under the Telangana State Industrial Project Approval & Self Certification System (TS-iPASS) Act and Initiatives like T-Hub have helped the state in achieving this ranking. The Initiatives the State have taken on automation and online services is helping it to achieve its mandate under the industrial policy Minimum Inspection and Maximum Facilitation”. (NSS)
