Civil Supplies distributes rice in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Telangana Civil Supplies Corporation Chairman, M.Srinivas Reddy along with   GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan and  Khairatabad  MLA  Danam Nagender distributed rice in Srinagar Colony, Panjagutta here today.

Speaking on the occasion Srinivas Reddy said the ration will be distributed till month end and there is no need to be panic and appealed the people to take ration as per tokens issued by following social distance. Further said  Rs. 1500 is adjusted in banks/post offices and cardholders can take Rs.1500 at the post office or at the bank while following social distance.

Further, the Reddy said as a part of no one goes hungry Chief Minister’s Mission Government is also giving free ration this month also i.e. 12 kg rice and Rs. 1500 to poor people.  Rice about Rs.1200 crores worth is distributing to the poor.  At present Dal is being supplied in some districts and will also be supplied in other districts as and when stock arrives.

Rammohan said we all came to see the distribution of ration by ensuring social distance. As per instructions of the CM K.Chandrashaker Rao that no one goes hungry due to lockdown prevailing situation, distributing free rice 12kg to each person and Rs.1500 to each cardholder. Even then if anyone facing problems it should brought to the notice of the local public representative. Providing free food to 1.75 lakhs needy through Annapurna free meals daily. Further Mayor appealed the citizens to co-operative and follow with the measures taken by the government  in containing the covid-19 virus.

Later, Minister, Mayor,  MLA, and local area Corporator  Ms.Kavitha Reddy felicitated the sanitation workers.
