CM Jagan credits interest subsidy into farmers accounts

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister  YS Jaganmohan Reddy today Credited the interest Subsidy amount into the bank accounts of the farmers of Andhra Pradesh state. He transferred Rs.128.47 crore to the bank accounts of the farmers by pressing a button at his camp office.

 

Speaking on the occasion he said that they had provided the interest subsidy benefit to 6 lakh farmers of the state. He said that the state would be good if all its farmers were leading a happy life. He said that they had given the subsidy interest amount to 627906 farmers, who had taken loans of up to Rs.1 lakh and repaid them within one year. He said that 60 percent of the population of the world were dependent on the agriculture sector. He made it clear that the main objective of the state government was to ensure the welfare of the farmers and farm laborers.

He said that they had paid the arrears of the previous government. Reddy said that they were also giving quality power to the farmers of the state free of cost. Commenting on Rythu Bharosa centers, he said that the centers would help the farmers a lot and added that they would extend another phase of Rythu Bharosa assistance in the upcoming month. The state government is implementing 0 percent subsidy scheme to all the farmers who have availed up to Rs. 1 lakh loans in the state.

The state government had distributed Rs.1132.54 crore to the farmers so far under the scheme. Initially, it was decided to extend the scheme to all those who have enrolled their name in the e-crops scheme. A total of 2,50,550 farmers have enrolled their names under the scheme so far. The CM has however extended the scheme to all those farmers, who have been declared eligible for the scheme by various banks of the state.
