CM KCR has a busy day at the newly-inaugurated Secretariat

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had a busy day at the state administrative headquarters on Monday, a day after the inauguration of the new Telangana Secretariat, holding review meetings and making some key decisions.

The Chief Minister arrived at the complex in the afternoon to inaugurate the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat.

KCR, as the Chief Minister is popularly known, arrived at the Yagashala where Sudharshana Yagam was performed on Sunday after entering the new Secretariat building through the main East gate. He took part in the second special puja, which was performed by Vedic scholars.

He then proceeded to his office chambers on the sixth floor. He went to his Secretaries’, Additional Secretaries’, and PROs’ offices and inquired about the furniture and other arrangements made in their chambers.

The Chief Minister also walked through the corridors, talking with officials about various issues.

He then returned to his chamber and met with public representatives who had come to meet with him.

On Monday, KCR held its first review meeting at the new Secretariat, which focused on the Palamuru Rangareddy lift irrigation scheme.

He reviewed the progress of the works to supply drinking water to the undivided Mahabubnagar and Rangareddy districts in light of the Supreme Court’s permission to continue Palamuru Rangareddy lift irrigation project works related to drinking water.

In another meeting, the Chief Minister extended by one month the deadline for regularizing notary lands under Government Orders 58 and 59.

KCR stated that the state government will regularize the house sites owned by the poorer sections in accordance with the rules and provide them with legal rights to construct houses within the municipalities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

He urged people to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the state government. People are encouraged to meet with MLAs in their Assembly Constituencies to discuss notary, house site regularization, and other issues.

The CM stated that the government will compile and solve all of the problems. People will be given land pattas with legal rights, and the government’s main goal will be to address poor housing issues all at once, he said, adding that a special drive will be organized for this purpose.

He also stated that notary issues concerning agricultural lands would be resolved. A collectors’ conference will be held soon on this topic.

MLAs from Hyderabad and Secunderabad met with the Chief Minister and asked him to address the issue of housing for the poor.

Opposition parties frequently criticize the chief minister for not visiting the Secretariat and instead staying mostly at Pragati Bhavan, his official residence.

They hoped that with the Secretariat’s state-of-the-art and grand building built according to his plan, he would visit the Secretariat more frequently.

KCR has previously dismissed opposition party criticism, arguing that a Chief Minister can carry out his duties from anywhere.
