CM KCR pays a visit to BRS office in Delhi

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao paid a visit to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (now Bharat Rashtra Samithi) office on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Marg in the national capital on Tuesday. He inspected the ongoing renovation and repair work and made recommendations for specific rooms, including his office.

This is his first trip to Delhi since the TRS became the BRS as a national party. The two-storied building was taken on lease by the party a few months earlier, and it will continue to serve as the party’s headquarters in Delhi. Since the party’s permanent headquarters are currently under construction in Vasant Vihar, the party leadership chose rented space for a temporary office.

Chandrashekhar Rao, who attended the last rites of Samajwadi Party founder and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav in Saifai of Etawah district in Uttar Pradesh, earlier in the day arrived in Delhi on Tuesday evening.  During his visit to the party office, he gave specific instructions to party functionaries on arrangements for party leaders’ meetings as well as for media conferences.

According to party sources, KCR will hold consultations with various political organizations and segments of society. The TRS leader intends to meet with a select group of retired bureaucrats and farmers’ associations in order to seek their assistance in moving forward in national politics. He will almost certainly meet Rakesh Tikait.

Leaders stated that efforts were being made to bring in senior leaders from various parties, primarily the Congress party from Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Punjab. He is also considering recruiting retired bureaucrats, intellectuals, and leaders of employee associations. KCR is also expected to meet with a few prominent Supreme Court advocates to discuss the ongoing ED and CBI investigations into the Delhi liquor scam, as well as the of questioning some TRS leaders.

They claimed that the Centre would go to any length to target the TRS because it has been exposing the failure of the Union Government.
