Hyderabad: Former TRS MP and Telangana Jagruthi president K Kavitha today demanded that the Centre has to confer the highest civilian award of Bharat Ratna on P V Narsimha Rao, former prime minister of India. She chaired a program along with PV centenary celebrations committee chairman and MP K Keshava Rao here in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, the former MP said that PV Narsimha Rao deserves Bharat Ratna as he served the nation in various capacities. She praised the services of PV Narsimha Rao for his versatile personality. There is a need for propagating the works of P V Narsimha Rao who steered the nation in critical times, Kavitha averred.
She also said that the former prime minister was an intellectual, a better politician to be praised by others. We have to make efforts to ensure that the literary works of PV Narsimha Rao be extended to future generations in terms of books. There is used to be regular articles in newspapers on PV Narsimha Rao personality, she recalled. Jagruthi us conducting two programs a month on PV Narsimha Rao. She said that in the name of the P V Book Club we offer tributes through old books and the new books she added.
