Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, who was in the United States at the time, also expressed his best wishes and emphasised Congress’ commitment to establishing a flourishing Telangana.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress General Secretary, uploaded a video from her recent visit to Telangana, honouring the martyrs and emphasising the need of prioritising the state’s youth and realising their ambitions. Telangana was officially divided from Andhra Pradesh on June 2, 2014, following decades of calls for a separate state for Telugu speakers.
