Congress leaders criticize Komatireddy’s comments

Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy’s comments that there would be a hung Assembly after the elections and that the Congress might not win as many seats as expected evoked sharp criticism from within the Congress party.

The MP also said that Congress would have to join hands with the ruling BRS party to form the government and stated that no party would win more than 60 seats.

TPCC working president Mahesh Kumar Goud slammed his remarks, saying all of those predictions were personal views of the Bhongir MP and not Congress party observations.

“Congress is the only party in the State which will defeat the ruling the BRS and come to power,” Mahesh Kumar said in a video message here on Tuesday, reminding that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had made it clear that there would be no tie up with the BRS party in the State.

Senior leader A Dayakar condemned the Bhongir MP remarks, saying they were causing confusion among Congress party workers. “Congress will fight the elections alone and will come to power with clear majority” he said.

KTR mocks Bhatti’s claim that Congress will come to power

Responding to Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka’s claim that the Congress had brought the Metro to Hyderabad, Industries Minister KT Rama Rao said Vikramarka boasted about the Congress government’s achievements in 55 years, but unfortunately the people had made him sit in the Opposition benches.

“I have doubts whether he will sit in the Opposition benches next time or will have to move out of the House,” he said.

In reply to the CLP leader’s claims that Congress would come to power in the state in nine months, the Minister in a lighter vein replied: “In nine months, children are born but it is tough for you to come to power.”
