Congress leaders gear up for Telangana elections after Karnataka win

The recent victory of the Congress party in Karnataka has boosted the morale of its leaders and cadres in Telangana. The party has sent a message to state leaders that success can be achieved through alliances rather than internal differences. With a record victory in Karnataka since 1989, Congress leaders in Telangana are preparing for the upcoming assembly elections later this year, which will be their second test after Karnataka.

The Congress high command has delegated management of the party’s affairs in Telangana to K. Sunil, a key strategist who was instrumental in Karnataka’s election campaign. Sunil has been closely monitoring Telangana’s political situation for several months and has submitted a preliminary survey report to the high command saying that the ground is fertile for the Congress party in Telangana.

After dealing with the Karnataka election, Sunil has now turned his attention to Telangana issues, advising the leaders to put aside their internal differences and focus on the election campaign. Sunil is a close associate of well-known political strategist Prashant Kishor, and he has been tasked with ensuring the Congress’s victory in Telangana.

Congress President DK Shivakumar and Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Siddaramaiah worked tirelessly for the party’s success in Karnataka. Both leaders are candidates for chief minister, but they did not show any differences in public or in the media during the election campaign. Congress leaders from across the country praised this unity.

Sunil has advised Telangana’s leaders to begin their election campaign now and demonstrate the power of alliances by putting aside internal differences. After their recent victory in Karnataka, the Congress party sees assembly elections in Telangana, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh as a matter of prestige.

Following the recent success in Karnataka, Congress leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi have begun discussing strategies to unite Telangana leaders. The party is hoping to form an alliance and win the Telangana assembly elections.
