Congress men will lose deposits in Hyderabad: Danam

Hyderabad: Former minister Danam Nagender today denied he met with TPCC president N Utham Kumar Reddy in a hotel to get back to the Congress as the TRS denied him a ticket in the list of 105 candidates announced by party boss and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. “I am not unhappy for not getting a ticket from the TRS and will work to defeat the Congress in Hyderabad by using all strength”, Nagender vowed.

Talking to mediapersons here, Danam Nagendar said he was not unhappy for not getting a ticket and it is up to the party high command to decide. Brushing aside the reports that he would return home as baseless, Danam said it was the handiwork of some vested interests. He also claimed that there are several other leaders in the Congress to join the TRS and the position of its leaders like V Hanumanth Rao and Ponnala Lakshmaiah was ridiculous, he said.

“Without any conditions, I joined the TRS and would not go back to the Congress under any circumstances”, he clarified. He suggested to the rumor mongers to stop making such remarks which are baseless. He also said there was no discontent for not getting ticket and it is up to party suspremo KCR and KT Rama Rao to take a call.

“I will serve the TRS party despite not getting a ticket. It is said that the TRS has asked him to contest from Goshamahal segment while he was keen on contesting from Khairatabad segment. I have already won five times as an MLA and not interested much in that post”, he said, adding that he will abide by the words of the high command.

KCR who took the credit of announcing 105 candidates’ list will surely win more than 100 seats and remain Chief Minister in the ensuing elections, he said. (NSS)
