Congress Panel Recommends One Ticket Per Family To Attract Young Talent

As per the latest reports, to draw in young talent to the party, a Congress sub-group has been prescribed to give just a single ticket for each family with the goal that big leaders don’t corner party tickets and deny a spot to the veritable diligent employees.

Nonetheless, the party as of late ridiculed this standard in Goa and Uttarakhand. In the slope state, previous boss pastor Harish Rawat and his girl were given tickets, and the senior Rawat lost in the surveys; Yashpal Arya and his child were likewise given tickets, child Sanjeev Arya lost; previous Punjab chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi challenged from two seats and lost both.

The other suggestion is to grow the social base and give reservations to the SC/ST and underestimated OBC. The CWC will take a view on Monday evening and purposeful in the meeting to generate new ideas.

To expand the vote share, Congress has chosen to zero in on expanding its social base and contact the gatherings which have not observed place in the party contraption, sources have said. The convenors of the sub-advisory group met party president Sonia Gandhi and gave over their proposal to her.

Each state has been told to zero in on sub-ranks and give more portrayal to them in the party.

The BJP in Uttar Pradesh has been effective in weaning away the non Jatavs from the BSP, which is helping them hugely in growing their vote base. Following this, the party needs to also build its social base in each state, add more individuals and grow its vote share which has been declining starting around 2014.

The unique spotlight will be on Uttar Pradesh where the party won just two seats and the vote share declined to around two percent. Uttar Pradesh is the greatest state as far as Lok Sabha situates and sends 80 MPs. The Congress won just a single seat in 2019 and presently it desires to rope in the pioneers from the BSP, who have lost trust in their party, a Congress chief said.
