Hyderabad: For the first time Telangana State will have its Legislative Council session on Sept 27, Thursday, while there will be no session for Assembly as it was dissolved on Sept 6. Governor ESL Narismhan has previously called for Council to meet for its 10th Session on September 27 at 11.00 am.
Though it was customary that Business Advisory Committee will hold a meeting to decide on the schedule for the council meeting, the sources said that the house will wind up its session for single day after paying condolences to departed leaders.
The house, sources said is to pay condolences to late former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Tamil Nadu former Chief Minister Karunanidhi, former Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee, former minister Manemma, MLC Nerella Venumadhav and other leaders who died. It will also extend condolences to victims of Kerala flood victims, Kondagattu bus accident. (NSS)
