Hyderabad: A conductor and his wife died in a road accident that took place on the outer ring road near Abdullapurmet in Ranga Reddy district, today.
According to the police, the couple was proceeding on a scooter to attend a family function, when an APSRTC bus belonging to Tuni depot in East Godavari district, hit them from the back. The couple died on the spot.
The deceased were identified as Bokka Ramana Reddy and Ramanamma, and they hail from Koheda village in Pedda Amberpet Mandal. Ramana Reddy is working as a conductor in TSRTC Bandlaguda depot. The relatives and friends of the couple staged a dharna on the national highway demanding ex- gratia to the family. The police are investigating the case.
