CPI says Modi acting as Extra Constitutional Body

Hyderabad : “The nation is shocked with the new developments in the CBI. Only yesterday Supreme Court gave an interim order, that CBI can carry on investigations on Special Director Rakesh Asthana, but gave him relief by not allowing any action till Monday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been informed by Director Alok Verma, on these developments and Prime Minister supposed to have commented that “Let law take its own course”. But within 24 hours prime minister sent Director Alok Verma on leave and trying to stop the law to take its own course of action”, the  National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India (CPI), said today.

In a statement, S Sudhakar Reddy, National Secretary, said that all those who are inquiring on Special Director Asthana are thrown out. It is a clear case of defending the special director from further inquiries. It is widely commented that Special Director Rakesh Asthana is close to BJP President Amit Shah and he moved quickly. Prime minister’s office which has become all powerful extra constitutional body is taking the decisions, including sacking the chief of CBI in the midnight coup. It is informed that CBI chief has approached the Supreme Court. All these developments reflect the total failure of administration under Narendra Modi, who tried to run the Union Government according to his whims and fancies, he added.

He also said that the Rafale scam, disappearance of Bank frauds like Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya and others escaping from country, notebandi’s miserable failure, GST blunder, killings of rationalists, hunting of minorities, fall of rupee value, unprecedented price rise, and now CBI mess is added to the long list of blunders of the egoistic prime minister Narendra Modi.  Modi should take responsibility for the grand mess in CBI, he stated.(NSS)
